Parkwind officially became part of JERA Nex bp on 4 August
On 4 August, Parkwind officially became part of JERA Nex bp, one of the world’s largest offshore wind companies.
JERA Nex bp (formerly Parkwind) is the operator of the Ventyr partnership, which, together with Ingka Investments, is developing Norway’s first large-scale offshore wind farm, Sørlige Nordsjø II (SNII).
In Norway, our main priority remains to ensure good progress in the project, where we are well underway and working hard to be operational according to plan.
JERA Nex bp is headquartered in London and is 50:50 owned by JERA Co and bp.
bp (formerly British Petroleum) is a British multinational energy company headquartered in London. JERA Nex is the global renewable energy company of JERA, Japan’s largest power producer and Parkwind’s former owner.
Together, the companies bring significant expertise, financial strength and an extensive portfolio of both existing offshore wind farms and new offshore wind development projects.
This includes capital of nearly NOK 60 billion (USD 5.8 billion), around 1 GW of installed net production capacity, 7.5 GW under development and a further 4.5 GW in secured lease agreements for offshore wind.
With its significant size and broad expertise, JERA Nex bp is very well positioned to develop competitive projects and realize the long-term potential of the growing Norwegian and global offshore wind market.
JERA Nex bp’s office in Norway is located at Skøyen in Oslo.
